He is survived by: his children, Miaesha, Mia, Michael Pierce and Mikail Gayles (Darryl); his grandchildren, Victoria and Wynter; his parents, Ruthie Meggs and Michael Meggs Sr. (Barbara); his siblings, Shannon Meggs, Michelle Sims, Kenyetta Smith, Bridgette Gomez, David Meggs and Keith Gomez; his aunts and uncles, Davon, Jayden, David Jr., Myles, Alexis, Davia, D'Asia, Aniyah, Jazmyne, Patricia, Robin, Deborah Lorie, Sadie Brown, Elemalda Jolivette and Ann Brisco; his great-uncles and great-aunts, Seth Carpenter, Larry Brown and Carmen Rhodes; and his friends, Linda Hardiway and Carolyn Pierce.
