He was predeceased by: his sister Cindy Orgeron (late Larry); and his parents, Wellman Bourgeois and Rita Knoblock Bourgeois. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Romano Bourgeois; his children, Rene Thompson (Marvin), Shari Lagarde (Aubrey), Gena Libert (Ryan), Joey Vegas, Jimmy Vegas (Danielle) and Joshua Wingfield; and his siblings, Joan Monk (late Ray) and Ronnie Bourgeois (late Patti). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren along with other loving relatives and friends.
