He was predeceased by: his wife Genevieve "Jenny" Richard; his parents, Vannie Richard and Corrine Boudreaux Richard; and his siblings, Lawrence "Jimmy" Richard (Dot), Sterling "Buddy" Richard (Francis), Vernell "Chookie" Dominique (Ludie), Hilda Comardelle (Harry), Paul Richard (Francis), Earl "Bootsie" Richard, Kenneth Richard and Mary Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Chris J. Richard (Laura) and Sheila R. Breaux (Chris); his grandchildren, Leonardo "Lenny" Richard, Amanda Breaux Petit (Mark), Richard Breaux (Krystal) and Allison Breaux (Fiancé' Joshua Mangold); his sister-in-law Cecile Guillot Richard; his friend Gretna; and his wonderful neighbors, Yvonne Bonvillian, Rachel Terreborne and Nancy Vegas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
