He is survived by: his mother Elvira "Jewel" Edwards Byrd of Ponchatoula, LA; his nieces and nephews, Mikhail Burns and Mickell Pete; and his aunts and uncles, Alvin Edwards (Charlotte) of Harvey, LA, Robert Burns, Jr. of Jackson, MS, James Earl Burns (Edna) of Jackson, MS, Bobbi McGee of Jackson, MS, Harvey Lee Burns of Detroit, MI, Mildred Allen of Detroit, MI and Mertharee Burns of Marrero, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
