He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine "Josie" Beard; his parents, Wilburn Beard and Lois Eslick Orgeron; and his stepfather Hamilton "Johnny" Orgeron, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Descant (Phil); his grandchildren, Kyle Descant (Megan) and Karli Descant; his great grandchildren, Cecilia and Lucas Descant; and his brothers, Dean Beard (Rita) and Hamilton "Jay" Orgeron III (Barbara Kliebert).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Westlawn Memorial Park (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
