With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra F Mire of Marrero, Louisiana, born in San Francisco, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 62. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Sandra had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Sandra may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her mother Minnie "Lorraine" Foster; and her father-in-law George Mire (Nettie Young). She is survived by: her husband Gerald Mire; her father Calvin Foster; her siblings, Alan Foster Sr. (Karen), Sherry McDaniel (Mitchell) and Theresa Foster; her mother-in-law Ernestine Jacobsen (Roy Sr.); and her brother-in-law Randy Mire (Tracy). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sandy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was especially close to her heart.
