He was predeceased by : his sister Karen Ann Pertuit. He is survived by : his parents, Earl E. Pertuit and Margaret Muth Pertuit; his sister Donna Pentagast (Harold); and his nephew Brenton Soshowski.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Restlawn Park Cemetery (3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094).
