He was predeceased by: his wife Diana Hunter Sanchez; his parents, Mervin Luke "Blackie" Sanchez and Alba Ruth Edgecombe Sanchez; and his siblings, Anthony Paul, Karen S. Waguespack (Joseph Sr.) and Sybil S. Bowshier.
He is survived by: his daughter Tara Savannah Sanchez (Eddie Cortez); and his sister Sara S. Rodrigue (late Rudy). He is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and two granddogs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mothe Funeral Home (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the McDonoghville Cemetery (520 Hancock St, Gretna, LA 70053).
