He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Jean Stagner; his parents, Leslie Bowen and Janie Bowen; and his siblings, Neal, Glen, Jerry, Larry and Emma.

He is survived by: his children, Dr. Karen Roden (Rusty) and John Bowen (Kim); his grandchildren, Thomas and Alex Bowen; and his child Hallie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chorale Acadienne (P.O. Box #53868, Lafayette, LA 70505) or the charity of your choice.
