He was predeceased by: his wife Mary "Ruth" Sellers Stelly; his parents, Edias Stelly and Eugenie Stelly; and his daughter Lori Ann Stelly. He is survived by: his children, Gregg Stelly (Lisa) of Meaux, Lynne Granger (Chuck) of Opelousas and Guy Stelly (Dana) of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Brandon Stelly, Hunter Stelly, Noah Stelly, Lindsey Ramirez, Madison Granger, Jordan Fontenot, Whitney Howard, Lauren Lassere, Taylor Stelly, Victoria Berard, Ramzy Devalcourt, Chaz Stelly and Landon Stelly; and his brother Clifford Stelly. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cypress Funeral Home (206 W Lafayette St, Maurice, LA 70555). A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (12995 LA-699, Maurice, LA 70555).
