He was predeceased by: his parent Gussie Slaydon Cooper; his wife Jean W. Cooper; his father Louis Cooper, Jr.; and his brother Gary Lynn Cooper. He is survived by: his sons, Ronnie Cooper (Mandelin) of Montgomery and DeWayne Rolen (Michelle) of Palestine, Texas.; his siblings, Lillian Karr, June Reviel, Betty Garanzuay and James Stephen Cooper (Myreta); and his grandchildren, Angela, Julia Cooper, Danielle Buchanan (Phillip) and Caleb Rolen.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grace Church (102 W 1st St, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
