She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Spadora; her son Joe "Skipper" Spadora, Jr. (Marilyn); and her parents, Napoleon Lee Short and Susan Pearl Stricklin Short. She is survived by: her grandsons, Jason Rigol (Karla), Chris Rigol (Holly), Michael Spadora (Sara) and Paul Spadora. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
