It is with sadness that the passing of Barbara Ellen Traylor of Metairie, Louisiana is shared. Barbara, born on July 16, 1944, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Taylor and Patricia Seabury Dagenhart; her grandparents, J. Lawrence and Adelaide Seabury; and her sister Joan Dowling.
She is survived by: her brothers, David Taylor and William Bell; her children, Kathleen Stemke and John Stemke II; her grandchildren, Meghan Stemke, Sel Rogers, John "Drew" Stemke III and Ashleigh Stemke; her great grandchild James Stemke; her nephew Brian Bell; and her nieces, Tiffany Rehr and Vicki Bell Meyer. She is also survived by five great-nieces and great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
