It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard Thomas Engert II (Metairie, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Marie "Annette" Engert; his siblings, Victoria Lazaro (Al) and John (Claire Ann); his children, Bernard Thomas Engert III (Shelbii), Theresa Thorkelson (Bob) and Warren Biri Engert (Karina); his grandchildren, Ashley Russell (Mike), Joshua Engert (Nancy), Leah Thorkelson, Abby Thorkelson and Jack Thorkelson; his stepgrandchildren, Drew Massetti (Holly) and Brittney Parker (Jake); and his great grandchildren, Madison, Peyton, Mason, Maddox, Millie, Madeline, Oliver and Elliot. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
