She is survived by: her children, Melanie Montgomery (Micheal) and Richard Bernard; her brothers, Raymond Vicknair (Bonnie) and Edward Vicknair (Ruby); and her sisters-in-law, Linda Vicknair, JoAnn Smith (Billy), Joyce Bertucci and Jeanne Thompson (Robert). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.

“I can't remember when I first met Clare but we were in the insurance industry together forever. I always felt a tie to her and now I might know why. I didn't know she was a Vicknair! That was my mother's maiden name and Mom's brother is named Ray. Maybe we were related and didn't even know it. Clare was well respected in the industry and a good friend to all. I am upset to hear of her passing and, as always, wish there was more time to catch up and give her one more hug.”
