He is survived by: his significant other Lisa Hibbs Bernal; his children, Chanal Bernal (Keith Sigsworth), Joseph Bernal (Christal Colby), Nicholaus Bernal and Danny Bernal; his mother Margaret Thomas Bernal; his siblings, Phillip Bernal, Roy Bernal and Mary Ann Bernal-Potter; and his nieces and nephews, Blaine Faust, Rylin Jourdan Bernal, Gabriel "Gibby" Bernal and Bentley Bernal.
