He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Burns Dell. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Klapatch; his children, David Klapatch Jr. (Kim), Amy Flynn (Danny) and Shannon Klapatch-Francis (Sam); and his grandchildren, Ethan Klapatch, Nicholas Flynn (Sarah), Noah Flynn, Eleanor Francis and Harry Francis.
