She is survived by: her children, Meghan Merritt Gauthier (John Ellis Gauthier), Thomas and Buxton Merritt III; her grandchildren, Cassidy Morgan Merritt, Ella Jane Gauthier and John Ellis Gauthier Jr.; her brother Robert Dessommes Jr. (Terese); and her sibling's children, Robert Dessommes, Andrea Dessommes and John Etienne Dessommes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
