It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ervin Reid of Metairie, Louisiana, who passed away on July 25, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Reid and Sadie McKnight Reid; his wife Edna Weathersby Reid; his brothers, Prince, Harry, Moses (Otis) and Thomas Reid (Bobby); and his siblings-in-law, Rose, Thelma Reid, Johnny Smith, Willie Allen and Charles Bowman.
He is survived by: his children, Janice R. Sayas, Mack Sr. (Darcel), Pamela Pitts (John), Ervin Tyree Reid (Monique), Derrick (Keyna), Renee and Djuan Reid; his grandchildren, Melissa, Janae, Melody, Mack Jr. Sydney, Ervin III, Erica, Ervisha, Felvelca, Tahj, Derrion, Darnell, Madison and Makiron; his siblings, Samuel (Doris), Curtiss Reid (Deborah), Josephine Smith, Della Allen and Penny Bowman; and his godchild Laroy Cage. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
