We bid farewell to Herbert Larue Hendley of Metairie, Louisiana, born in Lakeland, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 19, 2026 at the age of 84. Herbert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manasseh Harrell Hendley, Jr. and Lilla Pierce Hendley; and his siblings, Sara Faye, Myrtice, Nancy Blanche, Naomi, Aline and Eugene.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hentze Hendley; his children, Jennifer Hendley Gillio and Ashley Hendley; his grandchild Lauren Marie Gillio; and his siblings, Dennis, Nass and John. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
