It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Joseph Junca in Metairie, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on August 3, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert M. Junca and Marie T. Buisson Junca; his brother John J. Junca; and his niece Amy Junca. He is survived by: his wife Martha W. Junca; his daughters, Sheranda Rector (Craig) of Harrison and LaCresiea Olivier (Michael) of Covington, Louisiana.; his grandchildren, LaDonna Ralston (Nathan), Chance Herrington (Dawn), Caleb Rector (Michelle), Nathan Rector (Kaele), Dylan Olivier, Michaela Olivier (Nick Gagliano) and Dane Olivier; his sisters, Therese Browne and Ann Carter (Billy); his nephews, David Browne (Amy), Kevin Brown (Yuko), Billy Carter (Paulette) and Jonathan Junca (Carly); and his niece Amanda Connelly (Tim). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great nieces and nephews.
