He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arceneaux and Anita Tate Arceneaux. He is survived by: his wife Alwyn Toups Arceneaux; his children, Julie Generes (Eric) and Michael Arceneaux (Andreá); his grandchildren, Michael (Jocelyn), Paul, Andrew, Alex, William (Faith), Jack, Sarah, Evangeline, Sophie and Maggie; his great grandchildren, Ava, Michael Jr. and Gabriel; and his sister Catherine O. C. D.. He is also survived by his three grand-nephews and two grand-nieces.
