He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Freeman, Sr. and Audrey Loupe Freeman; and his sister Rosanne Freeman Palmisano. He is survived by: his wife Anita Tusa Freeman; his sons, Lance (Kelli) and Rhett (Christina); his grandchildren, Braelynn, Ainsley, Rhett, Jr., Brynn, Brenna and Carley; his sisters, Vicki Smith (Jay) and Lisa Cowans (Kevin); and his mother-in-law Celly Bock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes Masses offered in Johnny's name.
