It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Anthony Richards (Metairie, Louisiana), who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Jon is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jon's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Richards and Dorothy Richards; his wife Debra Kesler Richards; his sons, Jon Patrick Richards and Matthew Kesler Richards (Caroline); and his siblings, Carol Karan (Nedret) and Steven Richards.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church (309 Manson Ave, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
Donations to Jesuit High School of New Orleans or a hospital of your choice in Tony's name are requested in lieu of flowers.
