It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Paternostro Sr. of Metairie, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Ricks Paternostro; his parents, Luke Paternostro and Anna Rita Paternostro; and his siblings, Rita Paternostro, Nina Mistich and Barney Paternostro.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn P. Hodgson (Charles), Anna P. Lucurto (Kelley), Luke A. Paternostro (Jennifer) and Joseph X. Paternostro (Connie); his grandchildren, Charles Hodgson IV (Kaeli), Kelley Lucurto Jr. (Rachel), Jules Lachney III (Amanda), Brittany Paternostro Brown (Ryan), Joey Lucurto (Scarlett), Joannah Cathcart (Brandon), Luke Paternostro Jr. (Bernadette), Joshua Paternostro (Caroline), Rita Lucurto (Dean) and Matthew Paternostro (MiMi); his great grandchildren, Collin Vial, Aidan Orr, Gage Cathcart, Harlie Lachney, Luke, Noah Paternostro, Stella Lucurto, Zoey Hodgson, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn Brown and Cameron Lucurto; and his sisters, Frances Perret (Gerald) and Bonita Graff.
