She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Granger Gelpi and Marcel Gaston Gelpi; her daughter Catherine Barkerding Brewster; and her siblings, Thelma Gelpi Diaz and Marcel Gaston Gelpi, Jr. (Joyce).
She is survived by: her children, Theodore Francis Barkerding, Jr. (Mary), Joyce "Bootsie" Barkerding Smith (Ric) and Harry Gelpi Barkerding (Mary Ann). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
