It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Blackwell (Metairie, Louisiana), born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Brister and Lola Brister; her siblings, Pat Forbes (late John), Scherean Brister, Gwen Brister and Mike Brister (Nancy); and her cousin Cedo.
She is survived by: her husband Warren Blackwell; her daughters, Michelle Clement (Barry) and Nicole Alleman (Mike); her grandchildren, Rebecca Fontenot (Derrek), Caroline Alleman and Mikey Alleman; her great grandchildren, Wyatt and Walker Fontenot; and her siblings, Mona Lee (Douglas), Beth Bonin, Bill Brister (Pat), Ricky Brister (Helen) and Fred Brister (Denise). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
