It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Harold Bates of Metairie, Louisiana, born in Leesville, Louisiana, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bates (Boots) and Verlie Eve DeSoto; and his siblings, Gary, Faye, Betty and Sandra.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Bates (Jeannine), Bridget Damonte (John) and Spring Ouber (Davey); his grandchildren, Amelia Masson (Bobby), Amanda Damonte (Sage), Eythan Bates, Noah Bates, Harlie Ouber and Summer Ouber; his great grandchildren, Fletcher, Archer, Natalie and Quinn; and his siblings, Paul, Janet and Juanita. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
