We are sad to announce that, on January 9, 2023, at the age of 96, Marie Louise Powers of Metairie, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul G. Powers Sr.; her children, Paul G. Powers Jr. and Marian P. Powers; her parents, Frank Louis Burg Sr. and Margaret Daisy Powers Burg; and her siblings, Mary Thelma Haeuser, Ashton J. Burg, John P. Burg, Frank L. Burg Jr., Gerard J. Burg, Margaret Patty Deroche and Jane A. Reese.
She is survived by: her friend Earl L. Messmer; her children, Susan Reynolds (late Travis), Peggy Mitchell (Lynn), Mary Lou Chierici (Gene), Tim Powers (Janie) and Richard Powers (Linda); and her sister-in-law Thelma Burg. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
