He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Averett, Sr. and Evon Averett; and his brothers, Walter Averett, Jr. and John Averett. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Averett; his children, Jennifer Averett Schwarz (Keith), Kelly Averett and Lauren Averett Gandolfi (Edward); his grandchildren, Aidan, Mila Averett, Chloe, Cara Grace and Nathan Gandolfi; his sisters, Elva "Dee" Crawford and Ramona Sanders; and his sister-in-law Leslie Morgan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
