He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Schwegmann Stewart; his children, Shelley M. Stewart and Shannon M. Stewart; his grandchildren, Nicole L. Stewart (Manny Spanolios), Leah Nicole Stewart and Luke Nicholas Stewart; his great grandchildren, Riley, Trey and Syrus Spanolios; and his sister Deborah "Debbie" S. Lauff (Glenn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
