We bid farewell to Susan Benedict Watts of Metairie, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 30, 2025 at the age of 77. Susan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her significant other Clifford E. Watts, Sr.; her parents, John T. Benedict and June Blanchard Benedict; and her brother John T. Benedict IV. She is survived by: her children, Christine Freeman (John), Phillip Watts (Carla), Timmy Watts (Katrena) and Clifford "Chip" Watts; her grandchildren, Ashley Willard, Joshua Rieffel, Victoria Michelli, Gavin Michelli and Braelyn Freeman; her stepgrandchildren, Jason Hersey, Jennifer Foster and Sam Foster; her sister Judi Benedict Baynes (David); and her friend Anne Louque. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home (3827 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A Mass was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
