She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Richard "Rich" McGinty and Vera Woodall McGinty; her husband Albert Gordon; and her sisters, Esther Smith and Mary Crowell Hicks.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Gordon (Mary) of Minden, Brenda Sumrall of Bossier City and Debbie Sinclair (Lyn) of Minden; her grandchildren, Nancy Carol Holmes of Heflin, Richard Gordon of Minden, Courtney Marlin of Blue Springs and Elizabeth Roddy of River Ridge, Louisiana; and her close friends, Susan Smith Fields and Larry Milford. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews she loved.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or donors' choice.
