He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul F. Guenther and Mary Frances Glissendorf Guenther of Hokah, MN.; his wife Carole; his daughters, Beth Hamm (Nathan) of Shreveport, Lisa Moore (Tommy) of Henderson, TX and Karen Arbuckle (Don) of Alexandria, LA; his siblings, Tom Guenther (Nancy) of Peyton, CO, John Guenther (Claudia) of Cohasset, MN and Gretchen Guenther Combs (Clay) of Greenville, TX; his grandchildren, Matthew, Mary Catherine Hamm, Janson, Madison Moore, Kyla and Alyssa Arbuckle; and his aunt Lois G. Davy of Brownsville, MN. He was also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Gordon's name to St. John's Episcopal Church.
