James Callender Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Callender of Minden, Louisiana, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Woods Callender; his wife Minna Irene Callender; and his siblings, Frances Aultman (Frank) and Ronnie Callender (Peggy). He is survived by: his sister Faye Barron; his brother-in-law Gordon Barron; his children, Karen Dowden (Alan), Ernest Sepulvado, Sr. (Linda) and Sherry Johnson (Larry); his nieces, Tammie Draughon and Robin Culverhouse; his great-niece Adrienne Woodard; his niece Regina Carathers (Missy); and his grandchildren, Courtney Lafitte, Tiffany Miller (Roy), Corey Sepulvado (Marcy), Lindsay Bush (Justin), Ernest Sepulvado, Jr. (Regan), Brayden Sepulvado (Haiden), Seth Bell (Callie), Amber Johnson, Hallie Hightower and Hazel Sepulvado. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Rose Neath Funeral Home (211 Murrell St, Minden, LA 71055). A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Aimwell Cemetery (1892 LA-1215, Zwolle, LA 71486).
