She was predeceased by: her husband A. L. Burkhalter; and her son Al Burkhalter. She is survived by: her children, Joe Burkhalter (Genie Moore Burkhalter) and Nancy McDearmont of Haughton; her grandchildren, Jennifer McDearmont Stump (Lenny Langdon), Amanda Burkhalter Daw (Eric), Michael McDearmont (Jennifer), Sara Burkhalter Ramsey (Austin), Lauri Burkhalter, Bert Burkhalter, Garrett Burkhalter and Shelby Burkhalter; and her great grandchildren, Nicole Chandler Ashley and Madison Chandler Carter.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM at the Memory Cemetery (1527 Lewisville Rd, Minden, LA 71055).
