He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobbye Smith and D. D. "Bud" Smith; and his siblings, Dennis Smith, David Smith and Debbie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Melanie Smith; his children, Conner, Blakley Smith of Minden, Kirsten, Kaleb Smart of Sibley, Josh and Carrie Madge Todd of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Manny Higginbotham, Wiley Higginbotham, Eli Todd, Hayes Smart and Isla Smith; and his brother Allen (Dianna Smith). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
