We bid farewell to Patsy Dixon of Minden, Louisiana, born in Transylvania, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 25, 2026 at the age of 83. Patsy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Rushing and Ola Mae Rushing; and her siblings, Hubert Rushing, Robert Rushing, Melvin Rushing, John Rushing, Clifton Rushing, Lucille Rushing DuConge and Mamie L. Rushing Morgan.
She is survived by: her son Richard Wesley Whittington (Julie) of Minden, LA; her granddaughters, Ashley Day (Morgan) of Tallahassee, FL and Katie Christianson (Corey) of Monroe, LA; her great grandchildren, Addie Day, Abagail Day, Austin Day, Ana Day, Audrey Day, Cannon Christianson and Weslyn Christianson; and her siblings, James Edward Rushing (Charlotte) and Katherine Rushing Michaelson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or plant a tree.
