With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pearl Mae Merritt (Minden, Louisiana), born in Bienville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2025 at the age of 90. In the vast expanse of eternity, Pearl shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Pearl farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Walter Plunkett and Allie Lee Plunkett; her stepmother Ardie Plunkett; her son Gary Wayne Langley; and her son-in-law Billy Kennedy.
She is survived by: her children, James Langley (Keith) of Shreveport and Linda Kennedy of Minden; her sister-in-law Christia Walker; and her pet Sissy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren.
