It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jo Ashley Gills (Minden, Louisiana), who passed away on October 30, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, S. V. Ashley and Emma Ashley; and her brothers, Stanley Ashley and Leon Ashley. She is survived by: her daughters, Rachel Wortham (Eric) of Haughton and Robin Hughes (Bryan) of Benton; her grandchildren, Stefanie Haddenham (Michael), Ashleigh Hughes and Bryce Hughes; her great grandchildren, Blaine Mobley, Broox Mobley, Brant Mobley, Lariah Lind, Skobi Haddenham and Riley Haddenham; her husband Roland Roy Gills of Bossier City; and her brother Mike Ashley (Debra). She is also survived by sister, Anita Shows, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in the name of Jo Gills to the Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary (LMBIS) Building Fund, 102 Seminary Lane, Minden, Louisiana 71055.
