She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Winston Lyle and Annie Evelyn Atkins Lyle. She is survived by: her husband Robert Glen Barnes; her sons, Kenneth Glenn Barnes (Pamela) and Christopher James Barnes (Candace); her son-in-law Richard Stewart; her siblings, Bobby Lyle, Judy Hunter and Anita Brasher (Steve); her grandchildren, Amy Clark (Bill), Whitley Cannon (Bailey) and Brealyn Guichet (Byron); and her great grandchildren, Owen, Jace, Warren, Dalten, Silas, Cash, Everly, Addison, Remington and Stetson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church (16835 US-371, Minden, LA 71055). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others and spreading kindness.
