He was predeceased by: his parents, Shiras Whitton and Effie Whitton; and his siblings, Mayo Whitton, Billy Joe Whitton and Vicky Stuart.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Whitton; his sons, Bennie Whitton, Jr. and Caleb Whitton (Heather); his grandchildren, Holdyn Whitton, Hadleigh Whitton, Wyatt Whitton and Collyns Whitton; and his brother Dennie Whitton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
