It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles W. Simmons Sr. of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Beall Simmons; his son Chuck Simmons; his parents, Annie Lee Wade and Charles "Sleepy" Simmons; and his stepfather Arnold Wade.
He is survived by: his sister Pat Wade Dean; his brother-in-law J. W. Dean; and his sibling's children, Jay Dean (Tamara), Jeff Dean (Holley), Steve Brumfield (Kathy), Mike Brumfield (Jane) and Donna Brumfield Williams. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church or your favorite charity in Sonny's honor.
