Edward Jeffrey Hooton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Jeffrey Hooton of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Hooton and Ed Hooton; his stepmother Ruth Hooton; his sister Barbara "Bugsy" Lombard; and his brothers-in-law, Pete Walsh and Bob Mead.
He is survived by: his wife Belinda; his daughters, Babbette Burgess (Todd), Sage Braddock (Jim), Maurie Cattafi (Albert) and Ainslea Hooton (Kyle Snellenberger); his grandchildren, Reed Adcock, Albert and Margot Cattafi; and his sisters, Irene Talley, Lorraine Walsh and Carol Mead.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home - Monroe (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (2510 Emerson St, Monroe, LA 71201). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Planter's Gastropub (101 N Grand St, Monroe, LA 71201).
