He was predeceased by : his wife Elsie Lee "Viola" Moore; and his parents, Peter Moore and Mae Moore. He is survived by : his brother Johnny Moore; his sons, Mike Brinson and Kenny Brinson (Valerie); and his grandchildren, Chad Brinson (Karen), Krissy Parker (Mark), Brittany Brinson, Brandy Brinson, Brittany Golson Smith, Matthew Matherne, Van David Matherne and Ally Matherne. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rhymes Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
