It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael VanVeckhoven of Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, A. T. VanVeckhoven and Ann VanVeckhoven; and his siblings, Billy VanVeckhoven, Ginger Solberg and Debra Holland.
He is survived by: his family San Diego; his significant other Donna Brister VanVeckhoven; his sons, Truman VanVeckhoven, Connor VanVeckhoven (Jake Warren) and Trevor VanVeckhoven; his stepsons, Trey Weaver and Colby Weaver Walker (Jared Walker); his grandchildren, Colton Weaver, Blake Walker, Campbell Walker, Austin Walker and Weston Walker; and his siblings, Milburn VanVeckhoven (Judy), John VanVeckhoven (Kathy) and Lenell (Steve Dufour). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Homes - Monroe (1200 Lamy Ln, Monroe, LA 71201). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at the Mulhearn Memorial Park (623 US-80, Monroe, LA 71203).
