He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Cooper Lewis; his parents, Oran Lewis and Aline Lewis; his sister Bobbie Hayden; and his brother-in-law Billy Hayden.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Sumlin (Jennifer) of Monroe, Dean Lewis of Monroe and Dodd Lewis (Tresa) of Monroe; and his grandchildren, Sean, Claire Sumlin, Brandon and Dylan Lewis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home - Monroe (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery (623 US-80, Monroe, LA 71203).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe.
