He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Portman and Helen Pauline Portman; and his pets, Shugg and Skye. He is survived by: his wife Janet Portman; his daughters, Sarah Portman Zagar (Logan Zagar) and Helen Portman Ajlani (David Ajlani); his mother-in-law Pansy Garner; and his grandchildren, Riley Claire Zagar, John Owen Zagar, Avery Ajlani and Emery Ajlani.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hunting Retriever Club Foundation, Inc. or M.D. Anderson.
