She is survived by: her husband Donald Thurmon; her children, Mary Skelton (Les), Wayne Thurmon (Teresa), Billy Thurmon (Vickie) and Patricia Ellerman (Jay); her grandchildren, Caroline Barr, Ainsley Ingram (Stewart), Samuel Barr (Rashmi), Grayhm Skelton, Ashley Burroughs (Josh), Amanda Williams (McClendon), Samantha Paul (Cade), Jayden Ellerman, Anna Beth Ellerman and Tanner Ellerman; her siblings, Judy Hughes (Chuck), Rives Lowrey (Carol) and David Lowrey (Trina); and her brother-in-law Lavelle Rambin. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; along with extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to be made to NMBC Project 2.5 or Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
