Mike Cage Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mike Cage of Monroe, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mike Cage to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Zeigler Cage and Joseph Shelby Cage; his former wife Mary Virginia Cage; his wife Dianne Cage; his brother Joe Cage; his brothers-in-law, Ronald Shemwell M. D. and Joe Jarred; and his stepson George Snellings, IV.
He is survived by: his sisters, Virginia Shemwell and Carol Jarred; his sister-in-law Susan Cage; his daughters, Laura Wied Mike Cage, Jr. (Jesse), Elizabeth LaRose and Sara Deshotel (Gregg); his stepdaughter Satchie James (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Janelle Snellings; and his grandchildren, Mary Amanda Theiss (JR), Katherine Kyrouac (Michael), Hannah Hostetler (Dillon), Taylor Colvin (Murphy), Jordan Wyatt (Jacob), John LaRose, Claire LaRose, Virginia Deshotel, Thomas Deshotel, Sallie Jayne Snellings, Georgia Snellings, Quinn Snellings and Katherine Godfrey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Homes - Monroe (1200 Lamy Ln, Monroe, LA 71201). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Pauls United Methodist Church (1200 Lamy Ln, Monroe, LA 71201).
Memorials in Mike's honor are encouraged to be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
